A manicure is for maintaining your natural nails as they are. It includes basic trimming and shaping, cuticle cleanup, and polish of your choice. No length, structure, or nail enhancements are added.

The term “Shellac” originally referred to one of the first popular gel polish brands when gel polish was introduced. Today, many salons use the word “shellac” to generally describe gel polish, helping distinguish it from nail enhancement materials such as bio gel, which are used to build or reshape the nails.

Shellac removal is included with our shellac manicure/pedicure and shellac polish change services. If you are removing shellac to switch to a regular manicure/pedicure, a $5 removal fee will apply.

For regular polish manicures, we only use an e-file when necessary—such as smoothing uneven nail surfaces that may affect the polish finish. An e-file may also be used to gently remove the top coat during shellac removal or to lightly prep the nail by removing natural surface oils so the polish lasts longer. Our technicians are professionally trained to use the e-file minimally and safely, ensuring no harm or damage to your natural nails.
